JONATHAN RAMIREZ MUSIC
Jonathan Ramirez was born in Baja California, Mexico. At the young age of 11, his family migrated to Southern California, U.S.A. Raised in a melting pot of cultures, Jonathan was exposed to various musical genres and joined a gospel choir at Good Samaritan Evangelical Church. He also joined a school choir which participated in festivals and competitions. Jonathan gravitated to his first instrument choosing the acoustic guitar and eventually piano. Throughout the years, Jonathan continued his studies and his flirtation with music. However, it wasn’t until he met Yvonne Sanchez in Southern California that he realized his life would change forever. Fast forward to 2008, Yvonne Sanchez is under a contractual agreement with Warner Music. Yvonne and Jonathan start working on original material which would come to be known as “My Garden”. After its release, “My Garden” reaches gold status with music award nominations in the categories of “Jazz Album of the Year” and “Album of the Year”. Jonathan continued to collaborate with various artist such as Ondrej Pivec, Robert Balzar, Klara Vytiskova, Roman Pokorny and many more. Jonathan had composed enough original material to form his new group which he named “SKEPTEMISTIC”. Jonathan is also involved in other projects as a singer, instrumentalist, and songwriter. These projects include Yvonne Sanchez Latin Quartet, Jonathan Ramirez Salsa Band, Yvonne Sanchez Band, SKEPTEMISTIC, and continual collaborations like his latest with B/Y Organism where he wrote and performed a poem he wrote called “FLOW” which was used as an outro to B/Y’s Organism freshmen album entitled “The beginning”. JONATHAN RAMIREZ SALSA GROUP
It was Jonathan’s dream to perform with a Salsa Band and now this dream has become a reality as he formed this group in the middle of 2020. Jonathan recruited his musician friends to form this 12 piece band. Jonathan and his Salsa group are preparing to record a live studio recording in late 2020. YVONNE SANCHEZ ACOUSTIC LATIN QUARTET
Jonathan is now a member of a new project formed by Yvonne Sanchez where she performs original compositions such as “Senor Rumbero” a beautiful bolero which she composed for her late father. After years of performing and collaborations, Jonathan had composed enough original material to create this project which he named “SKEPTEMISTIC”. In this multi genre repertoire, Jonathan shares some of his childhood stories and passages through his life crossing hip hop, jazz, folk, rock, latin, neosoul and funk. Inner Resonance was composed by Jonathan Ramirez, where he takes us into an introspective, redemption, and the importance of perspective and solitude..
Imaginate, is a song written by Jonathan Ramirez where he asks the question “Imaginate” (Imagine) what it would be like to live in a world which is unified, at the end of this song there are people from all across the world stating in their original language a powerful statement “I can imagine a better world!”.
ON MY MIND
On my mind, written by Jonathan Ramirez is a story of reminiscing and celebrating love’s powerful emotion.
In the year of 2008, Jonathan has the opportunity to work on Yvonne Sanchez’ second Album release which she entitled “My Garden” (Warner Music). In this record Jonathan is credited with Lyric writing, song composition, recording guitars and vocals and finally credited as an Executive producer. “A great honor to have been part of a beautiful album and to work with the legendary Yvonne Sanchez.” Jonathan Ramirez..
Jonathan had the great pleasure to write and record a poem for B/Y Organism which they used as their outro on their freshman album entitled “The new beginning”. Jonathan’s poem entitled “FLOW”.

Santiago Ferreira: Jonathan recorded vocals and wrote lyric for Santiago’s single entitled “I feel the party in my soul”.
Toxique (Klara Vytiskova): Jonathan recorded a duo with Klara (Be Good) on her freshman album “Detox” and recorded Vocals “Naked Sculpture”. 2008 RGM Entertainment
Ondrej Pivec: Jonathan wrote lyric for Ondrej’s record “Don’t Get ideas” Cube Metier 2006
Roman Pokorny: Jonathan wrote lyrics for a song composed by Roman Pokorny a well respected Jazz/Blues instrumentalist. The song entitled “Black Bird Woman”. 2012.
Philip Gondolan: Jonathan wrote lyrics for a song composed by Philip Gondolan entitled “Mrs. Brown” 2008.
Jonathan also composes music for commercial work, documentaries, jingles for radio etc.
O2 Nadace think big: Jonathan composed an instrumental piece for the company O2 Telefonica in 2009.
