JONATHAN RAMIREZ GARCIA

Jonathan Ramirez Garcia is a  Mexican/American artist, songwriter, producer, born in Tijuana, Mexico.  At the age of 11 his family migrated to United States where he continued his studies. Since he was young, Jonathan gravitated towards music, learning how to play guitar and being a member of a gospel choir at Good Samaritan Church.  However it was not until he met Yvonne Sanchez as destiny should have it that his music would become more prevalent in his life.

Fast forward to 2007, Yvonne Sanchez is under contract with Warner Music and asks Jonathan to cooperate as an Executive Producer and the songwriting process begins. After a year of hard work, Warner Music releases “My Garden” an all original Record which reaches gold within its first year of release including music nominations in the categories of “Jazz Album of the Year” and “Album of the Year”.  Jonathan also cooperated with other artists ranging in Jazz, Funk, Bossa Nova, Salsa as a producer/recording artist/lyricist.

Jonathan currently is a member of several projects including his own project where he performs all original material he composed ranging from a fusion of Jazz/Latin/Hip Hop/Groove. Jonathan Ramirez and SKEPTEMISTIC perform regularly in the Prague music scene including Festival/Club performances. Another project is “La Comunidad” Salsa 13piece band. Jonathan expresses his latin side by performing and recording his first Salsa video covering “Tres Dias” by the great Alexander Abreu. This is an exciting project consisting of musicians from Cuba, Venezuela, USA, Mexico, Slovakia and CZ. Check out our video on our “Projects” Page.

Jonathan is also a member of Yvonne Sanchez Band. Yvonne performing her original gold selling album “My Garden” Warner Music 2008. Jonathan also performs in another project also with Yvonne Sanchez called Y.S. Latin Project, performing original compositions based on Latin Jazz, Yvonne Sanchez dives into the Brazilian world of music performing Bossa Nova and Samba as well as covering the Brazilian best known artists. This is a quartet set up more of an unplugged acoustic version, Double bass, Piano, Guitar and Voice.
